Private Security Consultant

Position Description

Seeking an experienced and highly-skilled individual to join a private security protection detail (PSD) for a high-profile VIP client based in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in managing security operations, demonstrate cyber security awareness, be proficient in handling high-pressure situations, possess advanced weapons qualifications, and demonstrate expertise in secure communication and secure cyber protocols. The position includes opportunities for additional training as well as a highly competitive compensation package. The position will start as a part-time virtual consultancy in order to vet prospective candidate qualifications for a period of at least 6 months. Highly qualified candidates will be eligible for consideration for permanent employment with the PSD in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze information to identify potential physical and cyber-security threats to a VIP client located in Dubai and provide effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Consult on secure transportation protocols, including encryption and secure radio procedures.
• Advise on secure communications practices for personal device usage.
• Design surveillance and counter-surveillance protocols.

Required Skills or Knowledge

• Advanced training in security-related fields (e.g., close protection, threat assessment, crisis management, cyber security management).
• Proven experience in private security or a related field (e.g., military, law enforcement).
• Advanced weapons training and proficiency in firearms handling.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, including secure communications and physical threat awareness.
• Strong communication skills on virtual platforms while working remotely.
• Working knowledge of English or Arabic (additional languages an asset).
